Today is mostly inside work.  The rain has slowed down so they may get out later to finish up some walls.
I'm not too disappointed since we get the last dirt floor in the basement ready for concrete tomorrow.
We were at one point going to dig up about 10" of stone to make the floor level with the new floor.
Problem is that stone has great big boulders in it and there is a lot to remove.  The guys decided it was easier to level the old floor with the other old floors and have a step down into the new floor.  That is so much easier and we use a lot less concrete.
This floor was put in in the 80's  the original dirt floors we had done when we moved in.  They were very old about 125+ years.
Tonight we have to use up as much hot water as we can so the hot water tank can be empty for the pour.  They are just going to hang the tank from the ceiling.  Okay.

Our heating and gas guy did not show up so I'm not sure when that will get done.  It would be nice if was still on days that are above zero so we don't freeze when everything is turned off.
I always check the weather with some apprehension because I want/don't want to know what is in store for us.
I just hope we do not get any of that snow that is going around.
They knocked the other doorway out.  Lucky the bin is still here so we could get rid of it.

They had this running inside what a stink, but it sure worked well on that damp stone.

This is the new basement and looking into some of the older 80's stuff. On the far right will be the wine cellar and the left (ladder) will be the stairs then the doorway to the rest of the basement
