We are still working over the garage but we should have the sub-floor finished tomorrow.
Once that is done we need to take down the addition to finish the sub floor.
It is nice to have Evan back it allowed me to rest for part of the day but I did go out and help them screw down some of the sub-floor. This cold is going around and I hope neither Evan or Brian gets it.
The materials were delivered today by someone who was new to the boom truck he was driving.
I guess he was getting a pretty good swing to the load.
We'll probably start to use Home Hardware more since they have the trucks to deliver stuff higher up.
Their sub-floor was also $5.00 a sheet cheaper than Castle so when you buy 50 sheets that makes a difference in total cost.
Anyway we are making progress and I feel so much better.
We also have a conditional sale on the house.
Our agent was trying to get us to settle for a lot less and be out by Dec. 31st.
I really wanted to pull the listing till spring and not worry about having to pack and store our stuff.
It also was going to cost us $10,000. to put it all in temp. controlled storage and move it twice.
The deal ended up that they have given us till May 15th to finish this and our agent lowered his commission so we end up about $16,000. ahead.
Just not having to go and pack the house right now is invaluable.
