Such a lazy weekend I have had.  It was nice not having to be up really early.  Of course I was awake at 6:45 both Sat and Sunday.
I just did not have to rush breakfast to get outside.

Friday was mostly a cleanup day.  We took down all the bracing and the guys stacked it for Freeman to pick up.
There is always a lot of concrete that needs to be cleaned before it sticks permanently to surfaces.
Then we measured the walls and ordered wood for Monday so the framing can start.
We will start with the upstairs walls since they have to be finished before the trusses arrive.

It was so nice to see the last of the metal bracing system that keeps the NuDura walls up and in place.
Setting them up takes a day and taking them down takes a day.  They are heavy and awkward plus not easy to stack when not in use.
I think we learned a lot when it comes to this system but it is much more work than two people can handle, that and that it takes a lot longer than stick build are the drawbacks.
The plusses are that you get a well insulated house that is very quiet and sturdy. Plus not likely to rot away.

Bye-bye braces we are not sorry to see you out of the yard.
Notice the light it was not too dark when Freeman arrived. He put the two larger piles on the bottom then loaded the small one on top.

That small truck lifted each pile of braces  in one go and I was sure that the truck would flip or the bar would break(see the bend and that is the small pile) but he did get all three piles on that little truck.  I hope he made it back without anything falling off on the 401.
