Things are moving along but not nearly fast enough for me.
Drywall is going up so it completely changes the feel of the place. It is looking more like a home now and not just a construction site.
It gives me some idea of the space that I did not have before and of course without electricity it is much darker.
We had the attic space filled with insulation this morning and it is amazing how warm it is getting already with just one small heater on the main floor. Who needs that massive, expensive HRV air handling system. The fireplace would probably heat the place. I know we need to circulate and change the air every once in a while, but still.
The plumber did not show up again. Maybe tomorrow if not we may have to look around to get it done so we can drywall those walls.
Heating guy should arrive tomorrow.
We found someone who sells the bead board that we need for the soffits and that will be delivered this week. I then need to paint them and let them sit for at least a few days before they can go up. This mill will also make our floors and maybe the trim we need for windows and doors plus balusters for the deck. Funny thing is they are from Cambridge, Hoffemeyer? Mill.
Had Bell in to fix the phones since no one could call us. We could call out but the line in was not working. Turned out the ceramic junction that was put in when the phone first went in and the wire for it were not working properly. When I asked the last time for it to be upgraded I was told it was fine.
I guess it was not fine.
