After a nice little vacation we are back to work.  There is not much big happening.  The guys are finishing vapour barrier on windows and screwing strips of plywood around the windows and where the baseboards will go.

Bill the plumber showed up for a few hours then left sick again.  What can you do?  We just hope he is healthy enough to finish for us.

We ordered our bath taps etc. from a web site called build.com  We'll see how long it takes to get here but the same taps and shower head would have cost more than 500.00 more here.  I think we will order more supplies from them because even with the shipping, taxes, customs it was cheaper and they are brand names.

This morning I called the insurance company to officially change our address and got quite a shock.
When Brian had told them we were putting on an addition in June and whoever he talked to said not to worry about it.  That was wrong!  As I'm talking to the agent and giving her all the information on this place she then tells me when we're done she will call back with a quote.
She called back to tell me Aviva has cancelled our insurance.  No negotiating,  nothing, we now have no insurance on this house.  We were stunned since we have been with them a long time.  It is because we are putting on the addition and because whoever Brian talked to did not mention it we needed special insurance for the addition.  So rather than give it to us for the rest of the build they just cancelled our insurance.
Needless to say we are now looking for a new carrier for this house and everything else (4 cars) because we will not stay with Aviva.
