Wow just when we think we can move forward there are problems.
Brian is not a happy camper and I don't blame him.

When we went to put up tiles we found that the drywall around the tub was not installed properly so the tiles will not go over the tub edge.  If the drywall had been brought out and over the tub edge a little the tiles would go down and onto the tub.
He also found that the walls at one end were too far from the tub and the whole end had to be built out because it was not level, which you need if you are using large tiles.
What he did was get some floor mesh and screw it to the wall and then add mortar to bring it out level.
Hopefully that means we can start tiling.  Fingers crossed.

Today was the day my washer and dryer arrived and I had been boycotting doing laundry until they were installed.
Of course that could not go as planned.  The delivery was fine and they hooked up the washer, very nice.  But the dryer proved to be a problem.  Although they could hook up the water to it(steam) they could not hook up the vent because it could not be reached.  Brian knew it would be hard but had hoped they had a way around it. Alas that was not to be when John had installed the vent when Brian was away he put this extension inside the wall when it was supposed to go outside the wall.
There was no other choice but to rip out the vent and hook it up for now and we will revisit that later.
We just get to do laundry again so both of us are happy.
