There is so little action here.
We have finished the closet in the master bedroom but not much else for some time.
I think we are a little hesitant to start a major project right now. I want us to do the drywalling and Brian is finishing up some electrical so we can start, I hope, soon.
The tile for the bathrooms still sits waiting to be laid down. It's not like it is hard but I think Brian is just burned out right now. We did buy our own wet saw so we can start anytime the notion hits him.
He has started to golf at least once a week so that may give him then diversion he needs.
We have made no decision on the siding installation. Brian feels that is something we can do but I am not comfortable working on a ladder as high as we would need to be. Cement board siding would also be heavy to work with from a ladder. I know he is leery of the quality of work provided around here and it needs to be installed properly or it will become a mess in a few years.
We have hired out the making of trim to a friend of Evans who is setting up a pretty impressive shop here. Once he is setup we should get it in a few days and it will be primed and painted so we just need to do touch ups.
He will also make all the indoor doors in the same style as the old house. It's nice that Evan will come and work with him and keep working in what he is trained to do.
The last day the boys were here we put in both garden doors in the family room. Not hard at all even if they were a little heavy. They look great. That will be my favourite room I think.
We had Suz and the kids for 4 days and it was nice to be able to sit outside. Although we don't get as much work done when they are here.

We did learn a lot from the first door and the second went in easily. |
