Sorry I have not been on to write about our lovely adventure.
It has been busy and certainly "things" are being done but if you walked into the place you really would not see much a difference.
The "things" that are getting done are heating, electrical and plumbing. Not the pretty stuff that one would see.
We did get the garage floor poured so the doors could be put on. It was a rush because we needed to move our household from Eden Mills to here and none of the inside space was finished. Getting the garage floor done and the doors on has allowed us to move. That has been what we have been doing for the last few weeks. I have been in Eden Mills packing the house and Brian has been here in Picton getting some of the floors done so some bedroom furniture can be moved.
There is still work to be done in those rooms like trim and final coats of paint because they are just primed. We can work around the furniture though it's not like we have no experience painting around things.
We still had problems with our plumber and had contacted a few other people. Although they would like to help us they feel bad taking work from someone else in the trade. When they would talk to Bill Bill would say he wanted the job so the new guys would back off. Then he calls us to say he really can't finish the job so sorry. Man we really were trying to help this guy out and when we added up the days he worked since July it is 10 whole days. No wonder we are so behind in the plumbing department.
Brian finally found someone who is willing to take it on and we hope to have him here next week so we can finish the job.
Meanwhile I still wait for something to be finished, anything, annoying for both of us.
