There are some days that just tire you out and yesterday was one of those. Mostly for Brian and Evan who were in the pit for three hours making sure the concrete got in the forms.
They used pieces of plywood with a slippery fabric on them. One guy on each side of the form slanting his board so the stuff went in. Then stopping long enough to vibrate the concrete so it settled and air bubbles were taken out and do it all again.
We were lucky this was just a small pour and they can now use the pumper for the rest of the wall.
Then there all the irritations in life that are there to challenge your sanity. Our pool pump in EM is making noise so we call the guy who has it warrantied to tell him and also mention that in the storm on Sat. that some of the solar panels have lost their brackets and need to be re-installed.
So he sends out the same guy who could not even open the pool properly and had to be sent back to finish the job. He has this habit of saying "interesting" when you disagree with his assumptions.
Then our real estate agent emails to tell us the people who low balled us are still trying to come up with more money from his mortgage broker and we should lower the asking price by 50,000. One time only never to be touched again.
It may not be a bad move but we question his motives at this time since he is still trying to get this cute young couple in the house.
I keep telling Brian I just want to get out of the dirt. I just hate it, being in tunnels and feeling like a underground creature of some sort. Next week maybe. Yeah!!!!

This is on hold till next week when we move the sink. |
 |
Messy hard work but Mark was great helping out with instructions and moving concrete. |
 |
It does not look pretty but this will all be covered. |
 |
Looks pretty nice here but look at how narrow that pour is, 6 inches. |
 |
This truck was moved all over the driveway to make pouring in such small spaces easier. |
