We finally bought the door hardware!!!  It was quite a process because trying to find someone who carried what we wanted was hard.  Most locksmiths would only have a small sample of Emtek hardware.
Brian and I drove to stores in Belleville, Kingston where ever we saw the possibility of finding a sample.
It turns out we should have looked at a place a block from here.  We went for a walk one day and stopped in and Mike had a nice selection of hardware for us to see and feel.
Once the order was placed it only took two tries at it to get it right since Emtek only sent part of the order the first time.
As per usual when Brian went to install the first lock he discovered that not only are the doors not all square some are installed too far into the room to and have to be moved out for trim.
Then he discovered that the doors, which came pre-hung, were not sitting in the frame properly because they were not mounted in the hinges evenly.  It explains why some of the doors would not close properly.

Ah well we will get them done.
There is such a difference in the feel and heft of these handles.

Cutting out insulation and levelling the door.

We have set up the shelving in the library but it is not going to be enough book space.  I have decided to forgo art storage in the room to get enough shelving for books.
It was easy to install the Ikea units and Brian and I are very comfortable putting them together.  Working as a team they were all done in a few days and the books out of the boxes as well.
It is not how I wanted the room to look but once we get the shelving we need and a library table it will look much better.
I can't wait to start using the room and am so happy to be rid of the boxes.

We have been trying to set up Brian's media room as well but that is still slow because trying to figure out all the wiring is hurting our brains so we only do it for so long before we give up.

Hot tub is still not done since we had to replace the size of wire that was already pulled and ready to use.

Doors are always the trickiest.

My sorting table.

Books are just crammed in but at least I can find them.

There will be a large wooden table in the middle and shelving and a seat under the window.

I'll leave the bathroom for now and post on that later.

We have been making progress so I should be posting but I'm getting lazy I think.

The focus now is on getting the hot tub set up before winter is over.  I have been very pushy on this issue and Brian is making progress.  Today he and electrician in to give him some advice on how to finish it before the inspector shows up.  Wes Manlow is an amazing guy one of the contractors here who is very trustworthy and there are not many of them here in the county.  He liked what Brian is doing and told him "no wonder the inspector does not linger here your work is so tidy"  That made Brian feel good and he is really moving ahead now.

We have also discovered that the floor in the sun room is level and does not slope towards the drain.  We were here for that so there is no excuse I guess.

We are waiting for shelving to arrive for the library.  That will be tomorrow so I am posting some before photos and we'll see what it looks like once they are done.

These are small ones over the sunroom.

I can't wait to use this tub.

Library before.

More messy library.
