Here we go again.  We had finally started the master bath again and finished the tile and grouting so I was impressed with how quickly we were moving along.
All the shower plumbing is done and it looks great. It will be nice to finally use that shower which will happen once the doors are on.

BUT..... as with most things  there are now setbacks with the sinks.
Brian put the taps on and used plumbers putty around the taps and it has stained the marble top on both vanities.
We are trying poultices of baking soda and leaving it on overnight with saran wrap on top.  The first round still left the stains so we are doing it again if this does not work I have read that acetone will remove it.
I sure hope so since they are very noticeable.

Wow it has been a month since I have been on here and nothing much has happened.  I guess that is what happens over the Holidays.   It was nice to finally be able to really decorate for Christmas.  I was able to put up two of our three trees and most of the other decorations went up.  Our grand sons reaction was worth it since he would go around saying how "Awesome" the house was.

We really did take the month off with very few projects completed but we have started again but very slowly.

The master bath is our first job and we would like to get that done.  I think we were not ready to tackle that after the tiling debacle.   It was so heartbreaking to have to rip out all the waterproofing and re-tile the walls.  But it should be done soon enough.  As it is with most things around here we have to be creative with the plumbing since the drain pipe is too low for the cabinets so there were only three options, cut out the back of the shelf under the sink,  add an elbow to the drain or rip the wall out and re-plumb the pipe.  I really could not handle ripping more drywall out and dealing with that mess again.  It's not like the vanities were a surprise since they have been in the house for most of the build.

The next colour in the basement has gone down and the purple is great.  I love having the freedom to just be crazy with colour down there.
This is so much fun.

Just need to paint the ceiling(again) and add the taps etc.

Maybe we will have this finished soon.

We are now looking to do most of the finishing work ourselves so it will be much slower.
